At VID you have the opportunity to engage in every aspect of student democracy, from classroom to national level. You will thereby gain new experiences and insights, and have the opportunity to travel and get to know some great people.
Involvement in student democracy is something that is not only appreciated by future employers, but above all by those around you at VID. We therefore encourage you to become involved! Student democracy consists of union representatives in the classes, student councils at the various places of study, and the Student Parliament itself. It is possible to be engaged at all levels.
Office and election
Students can vote and be elected as student representatives in a number of bodies in the university college: College of Higher Education, Learning Environment Committee, Appeals Committee, Suitability Committee, Education Committee and its subcommittees, Academic Committees, and the like. In all these, students have an influence on the study programme and day-to-day issues, and can have their say on important issues for the students and the university college.
