Network for green social work

Our network is a low-threshold meeting place for anyone who wants to share experiences and develop social work - especially related to the problems the nature and climate crisis brings.

Collaboration and innovation are more important than ever. So too is down-to-earth and locally based social work - across professions and disciplines - in a world marked by ever more crises.

The network was established in February 2023 following the launch of the book Green Social Work - Green Transition in Health and Social Care Practice, and has an ambition to develop the knowledge base in sustainable and green social work. We want both students and colleagues to be equipped with extended competence and skills so that we can contribute to real sustainable development.

We meet twice per semester, and consist of participants from all of the country's colleges and universities. These are mainly digital meetings of 1.5-2 hours. Both experiences with practice development, research and integration of green social work in education are discussed here.

Please get in touch for more information if you would like to join! Both students and colleagues are very welcome.
