VID Oslo is located in a green area not far from Frognerparken. A total of 2,800 students spend their time here in a rich environment for research and education in close connection to Diakonhjemmet hospital and Diakonhjemmet Omsorg.

At VID Oslo you will experience a good student environment and good follow-up from skilled teachers. Our students have great opportunities to take part of their practice elsewhere in Europe, Asia or Africa.

Nursing students spend a lot of time in our state-of-the-art exercise room, where simulation training on advanced practice dolls is done. The students at VID Oslo have provided very good evaluations of the place of study, the level of well-being and the quality of the studies.

Opening hours

Diakonveien 14, 16, and 18 are open Monday–Friday, from 07:30 to 16:00. Access cards with a code must be used between 06:00–07:30 and 16:00–23:00.

On Saturdays and Sundays, the doors can only be opened with an access card with a code.

If you need your PIN code, you can log into kortportalen to view your PIN. Note that you must be connected to the «Eduroam» network on campus to access the site.

Our facilities

Campus Oslo has a large and open reading room where all seats are equipped with PCs. There are two quiet reading rooms. In one of them, students can use their own PCs, while the other is completely silent. In both quiet reading rooms, workspaces are reserved for master's students until 10:00 AM. The reading rooms are located in Diakonveien 18. Here you will also find the library, which has several workspaces for students.
SiO - Student Welfare Organization in Oslo

The Student Welfare Organization SiO serves 27 educational institutions in Oslo. SiO students have access to a wide range of health services, can join free courses and events, work out at the city's best fitness centers at an affordable price, and apply for one of SiO's 10,000 student housing units.
Spis og glis eatery - our cafeteria

Our cozy eatery offers a tempting buffet where you can create your own salad, hot dishes, bread, and toppings as you wish and pay by weight. In addition, we offer prepared sandwiches, wraps, delicious coffee drinks, and a wide selection of cold beverages and dairy products.

Outside of opening hours, you can shop from our well-stocked TrustShop, which is always open!
