VID is organizing a project to meet refugees in Norway in a good way
We have now been living with heartbreaking images and headlines from Ukraine and neighboring countries for several months. The first Ukrainians have arrived in Norway, and we know there will be many more. So how can we, employees and students at VID, contribute?
Spring 2022
Do you have any input or do you want to volunteer?
There is a lot going on both in VID and in local municipalities and NGOs etc.
For now the project group has made an overview of local initiatives, and please inform us if you know of an initiative that we should contribute to.
Students and staff who are interested in volunteering can contact the project group on:

- Study offers for refugees in Oslo and Stavanger
The Ministry of Education and Research in Norway has allocated VID 10 places in the study program Master in Community Development and Social Innovation.
This program is available both in Stavanger and in Oslo. To qualify for this program, you need a bachelor's degree (or similarly) within social sciences, humanities, theology, religious studies, health or social work. You also need to document English on a B2 level. If you do not have an English test, VID can sponsor one for you
VID does not charge a tuition fee for these places, students still have to pay a small semester fee for welfare arrangements, etc. Ukrainian refugees may be eligible loans and grants from Lånekassen once they have secured a school or study place. Do you have a bachelor's degree within social sciences, humanities, theology, religious studies, health or social work and would like to continue towards a master`s degree?
