  • What is social work?

    Social work is about understanding and analyzing various social issues, including but not limited to poverty, crime, marginalization, substance abuse, and mental health problems. Different subjects within social work address how these issues affect individuals and society as a whole.

    Social work is a broad field that offers a range of career opportunities. You can work in social services such as child welfare, substance abuse treatment, immigrant integration, elderly care, preventive work, aid projects, and more. You can also be involved in politics, research, and teaching related to social issues.
