Academic profile
Ruth Bartlett is a Professor in Health Studies with special interests in ageing, people with dementia, citizenship, critical disability studies, and participatory research methods, including diary method. Ruth teaches on the masterprograms in ‘Service Development for the elderly’ at VID, Oslo, leading the elective course ‘Service Development in Dementia Care’, and she teaches on the‘Citizenship and cooperation’ at VID, Sandnes. She has published widely on the topic of dementia care and citizenship, including two books and over 40 papers. She has led on an Alzheimer’s Society funded study, and two ESRC funded projects using innovative qualitative techniques. In January 2019, Ruth becomes co-Editor of the Dementia: International Journal of Social Research and Practice, with Dr Elaine Weirsma (Lakehead University, Canada)
