Travel "green" with Erasmus+

For us at VID Specialized University, working with the environment is an important priority. Therefore, arrangements are made for you as a student or employee to choose to travel in an environmentally friendly manner. If you are going on a study or employee stay abroad, you can apply for a "Green Grant", which helps to cover travel costs for environmentally friendly travel.

Below we have gathered information about environmentally friendly transport, as well as a climate calculator, which allows you to calculate the carbon footprint of your stay abroad, and what options you have for more environmentally friendly travel and accommodation.

"Green" grant for students

Are you going on exchange with Erasmus + and do you want to travel more environmentally friendly? At VID, you have the opportunity to receive an extra travel grant, if you choose to use environmentally friendly means of travel. Here you can take part in the draw for an environmental grant of NOK 2,000.

Climate calculator

Climate-smart semester - Swedish climate calculator made by the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers. Compares different transport alternatives and shows how much of the total annual climate emissions (to reach the 2-degree target) the trip corresponds to.
