Maria also had productive meetings with staff at the international office and staff in occupational therapy and social work, with hopes of expanding the collaboration and including the other two faculties in VID in the agreement with Western Cape.
In Pretoria at UNISA, the visit was more to get acquainted and to chart the course for collaboration. Here, there were meetings with academic communities, international office, and a paper presentation.
VID is looking forward to collaborating with South Africa and welcomes its first PhD student on exchange, funded by E+ global funds, in the fall of 2023. It will be exciting to see what will come of this collaboration and what it will bring to the global community of students and researchers.
