Hello lovely first-year students!

I gave a speech to you on the first day of school, so some of you might remember me. For those of you who don't - my name is Britha Engebretsen, and I am the Student Council President for VID Oslo this year!

First of all, congratulations on being admitted - I hope you're having a great time and have gotten off to a good start????

The Student Council discusses various student matters that come up, but we also spend a lot of time organizing events for the students. We have previously rented out a comedy club called "Latter" for our own stand-up show, in addition to shared pre-parties and themed parties.

We have only ONE meeting per month, and the position is compensated. Last year, I joined as the Vice President, and I haven't regretted it at all. It's social, with the opportunity to get to know more people, and you contribute to a great campus environment.

In the Student Council, we work together, and you're never alone when it comes to responsibilities. Within the council, we spend a lot of time on team building and coming up with fun things to do together, so that we become even more acquainted within the Student Council!
