Professor Zada Pajalic has been elected as a member of the external advisory board in the European project RES-Q+. The project aims to make knowledge about stroke more accessible.
The project "RES-Q+ Comprehensive solution for improving health care using a global register of stroke care quality" is a collaboration between 21 leading European institutions.
The project will be coordinated by the Institute of Health Information and Statistics in the Czech Republic (IHIS).
The project manager is researcher and neurologist Robert Mikulik from the Czech Republic, and co-leader is Hendrik Knoche, an expert in human-computer interaction from Aalborg University, Denmark.
The team will use artificial intelligence in the fight against stroke in Europe, aiming to make the knowledge of leading specialists available to both stroke patients and general practitioners.
The goal of the RES-Q+ project is to improve the quality of care for stroke patients, save patients' lives and reduce healthcare costs. This will be achieved by
- creating a fully automated tool for obtaining and processing data on the provided health care;
- evaluating data and providing feedback to care providers through artificial intelligence-based virtual assistants that precisely target problem areas,
- creating virtual assistants for stroke patients that will monitor their condition.
The project is funded by Horizon Europe.
