- How do I log in to the student ID app?
You log in with your Feide login.
- When can I use the student ID app?
As soon as you have paid the semester fee and registered in Studentweb. It may take 3–5 days after you have paid the fee until you are registered.
- Do I still need a student card (access card) when I have the student ID app?
Yes. The use of a student card is required for access to buildings and to the library.
- How do I use the student ID app to prove that I am entitled to student ticket at public transport companies?
In the event of ticket control, you will show the valid ticket and student ID app. The student ID app will show that you are an active student at the institution. If you do not have a photo in your student ID app, other valid credentials may be displayed as well.
- Why is there no picture of me in the student ID app?
You must have taken a photo for your student ID to get the image on the student ID app.
Picture taking for students at VID Stavanger are unfortunately not available.
- Is the student ID app valid when it does not show my image?
If the student ID app does not show your photo, you must legitimize yourself with another valid ID as well. The student ID app nevertheless confirms that you are a valid student.
- I get an error message in the student ID app. What does this mean?
It may mean different things. Contact Linda Novak for support.
- What information does the student ID app get about me?
The app retrieves the following information: Name, photo, date of birth, student number, institution and if you are a valid student (paid semester fee and semester registration), as well as photo.
- Where is the information in the student ID app stored?
The information is only stored in the app on the phone.
