• What is Helpdesk?

  Helpdesk is VID's apparatus for IT support. You can reach Helpdesk at e-mail helpdesk@vid.no. Helpdesk's opening hours is from 09:00 to 15:00.

• What is the reason for the message «cannot find student», when I try to active my Feide account?

  It may be that you use a web browswer that is too old. Try updating your current browser or download Google Chrome. Also check that all the information you have entered is correct.

  We have occasionally encountered issues with mobile devices (such as iPhone with Safari). Try again with PC/Mac and connect to the wireless networks.

• I have forgotten my Feide password, how do I reset it?

  You can reset your Feide account at Passwordweb. Note that it will take an hour until the new password is active.

• There is a message telling me my Feide account is locked, what do I do?

  Try resetting your Feide account at Passwordweb. Note that it will take an hour from resetting until you are able to login.

• I am unable to connect to the wireless network. What do I do?

  Try resetting your Feide password first, and see if that helps. Read more about resetting your Feide password.

• I have reset my Feide password, but still cannot login. What do I do?

  When you reset your Feide password or Feide account, you have to wait an hour for the server to synchronize. If you still can not login after an hour, contact Helpdesk on helpdesk@vid.no.

• Do you offer Microsoft Office for free?

  Active students at VID have access to Microsoft Office through Office 365. Office 365 includes the Office suite of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You can use Office 365 in the cloud or download the programs as long as you are a student at VID. Read more about Microsoft Office 365 for students.
