International Spiritual Care Education and practice Development (i-SEP)

The i-SEP-project builds on the VID Excellence in reseach SEP-project (Spiritual Care, Education, and Practice Development) 2020 – 2023 and the long standing collaboration in reseach and student exchange VID has had with Azusa Pacific University.

About the project

Aims for the i-SEP project 2023 - 2026

  1. Develop COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) for bachelor students, 5 ECTS, to facilitate students’ confidence and competence in assessment and addressing spiritual care.
  2. Develop COIL for master students, 5 ECTS, to facilitate post-graduate nursing students to further develop their competencies in spiritual care.
  3. Strengthen the cooperation between VID and APU by having more faculty from both institutions involved in student exchange (bachelor, master, PhD), education, and research.
  4. Facilitate international exchange, and guest visits for Ph.D. students to learn from the partnering institution about spiritual care education across cultures.
