The purpose of the project is to support and develop guidance and the learning potential within guidance, with a special focus on supervisors in rural municipalities and practice in small and medium-sized municipalities facing challenging demographics. We aim to develop, test, and evaluate a practice model called "guidance teams," where a central tool is guidance for the supervisors themselves. In this approach, we will explore a new way of organizing collaboration between the university and the municipalities by creating a team that will both guide students during their practical training and provide guidance to the supervisors. This will enhance the guidance competence of the supervisors while they guide students in practice.
By utilizing digital tools, we will investigate how, where, and when synchronous video-based guidance can be applied in practical studies. Combining this approach with a focus on developing guidance competence in practice, we will be able to increase the number of municipalities capable of offering practical placements. With such a model, even small and remote municipalities will have the opportunity to host students in practical training, which can be challenging with a more traditional guidance model.
