About the project
Interprofessional practice and user involvement in coordinated services is the focus in this Ph.D. project. From 2009 the health authorities in Norway has encouraged development of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Flexible Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) – teams. The main goal in FACT is to deliver outreach care and treatment to all severely mentally ill on a circumscribed region. They give recovery support based on individual needs. To explore experiences with interprofessional practice and user involvement in FACT teams there will be conducted observation and interviews with the members of the team.
The FACT team work with a fidelity scale to ensure:
- Professional practice through employees both from community healthcare and specialist healthcare to secure continuously support and reduce hospital admissions
- User involvement by having employees with lived experiences.
- Recovery support as an object for treatment to improve life quality, functioning and integration in the community.
