About the project
The aim is to understand how the interpretation of the Bible at Evangelical/Pentecostal migrant churches – with backgrounds in the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries – shape their interaction with the host Nordic societies. This ethnography will focus on themes and idioms emerging from migrants’ personal narratives, social media, and worship contexts, revealing the hermeneutic processes for the biblical text reception. This study would expand the common grounds for intercultural dialogue between the national and migrant religious institutions; as well as the knowledge on the Nordic Latin migrant communities.
