VIDdoc: Representing all temporary doctoral students and research fellows

The purpose of VIDdoc is to promote professional, social and cultural exchanges among PhD students and post-doctoral research fellows affiliated with VID Specialized University and represent their joint interests.

The objective or VIDdoc is to be an association that advocates for common matters of its members and work to promote their interests.

The VIDdoc interim board sent out a survey to map out the PhD students needs regarding the objectives of VIDdoc. We included the preferences of the PhD respondents below.

Social

43.5%* of the PhD survey respondents would like VIDdoc organise social and cultural exchanges among PhD students at VID.

52.2%* of the PhD survey respondents want VIDdoc to represent their interests and advocate for certain changes within the organisation.

Educational

56.5%* of the PhD survey respondents wishes VIDdoc to offer seminars, organize joint lectures, writing groups, etc.

The General Assembly (GA) is the supreme decision-making body of VIDdoc and consist of all participating members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM is held once a year and is open to all members.

The VIDdoc Board is the supreme administrative body of VIDdoc.
