Registration deadline: 4 weeks before the date of the exam
You have the opportunity to improve marks awarded at a regular exam. Provided a deferred exam is being organised, any graduating student who wishes to improve a mark may apply to sit such an exam. You may register to re-sit your exam in order to improve your mark up to 12 months after completing your programme of studies.
In autumn 2020, a new curriculum is being introduced for the bachelor programmes in occupational therapy, social work, nursing, and social educator. It is possible to improve your mark by sitting a deferred exam even if your current curriculum is due to be phased out. Please note that deferred exams will only be organised if there are students who are entitled to sit them. The faculties will assess the need to arrange for an extraordinary exam to be held for specific courses. The dates of any extraordinary exams will be posted on Canvas.
Please contact the Division for Academic and Student Affairs if the curriculum is due to be phased out for your programme of study and you wish to improve your mark.
If you improve your mark, it is the best mark that will be printed on your degree certificate. You can ask for a deferred certificate if you wish to improve one or more marks after completing your study programme. However, please note that the certificate will display a note to say that you have improved a mark. This applies only if you improve a mark after attaining a degree, and the original mark will not be displayed on the degree certificate. If you have already received your certificate, you will receive a transcript.
Apply to re-sit an exam to improve your mark in Studentweb.
If you encounter problems with registering for an exam or there is an error reported with respect to your assessment registration, please contact the Division for Academic and Student Affairs on email@example.com
