During the autumn semester, when studies have properly started, the Chapel and Cultural Committee organise an autumn celebration/thanksgiving for all students and staff at the Diakonhjemmet campus, Oslo. Each year there are different themes and programmes.
Food and entertainment
We decorate the venue and set the table for a party. Food will be served, and on stage there will be various entertaining performances. In 2014 Herbie Skarbie Kawuma held dance lessons, and tapas and home-made cakes were served. We also had an open mic session for students.
The party is free of charge, and we encourage students and employees to bring family and friends, and let them see and experience our university.
The last couple of years the Norwegian Thanksgiving has been held during VID fundraiser week, and tickets to win great prizes have been on sale at the event.
The party is held in the atrium at Diakonveien 14, Oslo. The programme will be published on the student page together with information on VID fundraiser week.
