About Feide

When you become a student with us, you get access to lots of digital services through Feide. This system gives you secure login and access to platforms like My Page and Canvas.

Follow these simple steps to create your Feide account:

  1. Find your student number and PIN: You'll receive these by email from us before the start of your studies.

  2. Go to Passwordweb: Click the link to get there.

  3. Choose language: Select Norwegian or English, depending on your preference.

  4. Select Student: Then click on "Enable account/Forgot password."

  5. Fill in your information: Enter your student number, birth number or D-number, and your PIN. Then click 'Validate.'

  6. Create a strong password: Remember, it must include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and a special character.

  7. Accept the terms: Make sure to read the IT regulations and evacuation instructions.

After you create your account, wait 30 minutes before logging in. Keep your password safe – you'll need it often!

Are you seeing an error message like "finner ikke student" (student not found)? This is often due to using an outdated browser. Try updating your browser or installing Google Chrome, as Safari can have issues with our systems. Also, check that the information you've entered is correct.

Common reasons for error messages when logging in to Feide:

  • Feide account is not set up in Passwordweb – visit Passwordweb
  • You haven't waited 30 minutes before logging in – reset your password again.
  • You've selected the wrong affiliation in the login window – choose VID Specialized University.

Forgot your password?

You can easily reset your Feide password through Passwordweb. Remember, you'll need to wait 30 minutes after the reset before you can log in again. If you try to log in before that, your account will be locked, and you'll have to start the process over.

My account is locked. What should I do?

If your Feide account is locked, reset it through Passwordweb. Again, you'll need to wait 30 minutes before you can log in.
