Frequently asked questions
I get an error when I try to upload documents to Mobility Online. What now?
Mobility Online only accepts documents in PDF format. You can often create PDF documents by choosing PDF as a format in the Print function on your PC, depending on the software you have installed.
How do I know that my application has been submitted?
Your application has been submitted after you have printed it from Mobility Online, signed it, and uploaded the signed document as a PDF file. You will come to this step if you follow the process in the Mobility Online checklist.
Please note that your Learning Agreement and any Scholarship Agreement will also be made available in Mobility Online. You will continue to use Mobility Online even after the application form has been signed and uploaded.
What happens after my application has been submitted?
Once you have uploaded the signed application to Mobility Online it will be processed at the relevant department. You will be contacted by the international coordinator when necessary. For outgoing students: You will be notified through the system when you have been allocated to an exchange partner. Then Mobility Online will guide you through the process of completing any other documents required for the relevant partner institution, in cooperation with your international coordinator.
I can't go after all. How do I cancel my application?
Enter your application in Mobility Online. The top row of your Workflow is called General (yellow color). If you choose this, you will be given the opportunity to cancel your application. A cancellation can not be undone.
Why do I need to include next-of-kin information in the application?
We recommend that you include information about next-of-kin in the application, but that is not a requirement. If you do not want to provide this information then you can instead add the phrase "Next-of-kin information is not applicable" in the fields associated with the relatives information.
Family information is used by VID in the event that a situation arises in the place where you are staying abroad, which makes it relevant for VID to set up a contingency group to follow up on you, and any authorities and those you may have stated as relatives. Examples of such a situation could be earthquakes in Madagascar, floods in the Philippines, etc.
If you are providing next-of-kin information then be sure to include the consent statement from those you provide the personal information to.
