Objective
The students will develop skills and expertise to provide professional and interdisciplinary help and care to people with drug- and addiction related problems and be equipped to activate the patient's, client's or user's inherent resources. The programme is suitable for professionals who wish to strengthen and develop their skills and expertise in order to provide the best possible care to people with drug- and addiction related problems.

Counselling
The specialization programme in drug- and addiction related problems requires 80 hours of group counselling during the course of study. Students are responsible for the counselling and must pay the extra costs for these sessions. The university must approve the academic counsellor who will, at the end of the programme, confirm in writing that the student has attended the counselling sessions.

Admission requirements
- Bachelorgrad (180 studiepoeng) eller annen grad eller utdanning på tilsvarende nivå av minimum tre års omfang innenfor helse- og sosialfag eller andre relevante fagområder.
- Minst ett års yrkespraksis med relevans for rusfeltet. Studenten må være i minst 50% stilling med relevans for rusfeltet under utdanningen.
Du har også mulighet til å søke på grunnlag av realkompetanse.
Dokumentasjonskrav
Du skal laste opp følgende:
- Vitnemål fra bachelorgrad
- Signert(e) arbeidsattest(er) som inneholder fra dato og til dato, hvor du har jobbet og stillingsprosent. Attesten(e) må dokumentere at du har hatt pasient/-klientarbeid i minst ett år etter endt utdanning, og at du i studietiden skal arbeide i minst 50 % stilling med relevans for rusfeltet.
CV og arbeidsavtaler/-kontrakter godkjennes ikke som dokumentasjon på arbeidspraksis.
Søkere med utenlandsk utdanning må dokumentere at de oppfyller krav til norsk- og engelskkunnskaper i Forskrift om opptak til høgre utdanning (For-2017-01-06-13).
