This one-year Programme in Intercultural Communication and Global Cooperation gives an overview of important globalization processes. These provide a frame of reference for the focus of the study - the dynamics that occurs when individuals and organizations work together across cultural, geographical and economic differences.
Why choose this programme?
• Interesting discussions on current topics
• Lecturers with international experience
• Knowledge about religion as a global phenomenon
• Study trip to Africa or Asia
• Sociable student environment
In January, students travel to Africa or Asia for a four-week study trip. The trip is part of the African and Asian religion and culture studies course. Students will attend lectures at a university in the exchange country, get to know local students, carry out fieldwork and participate in a variety of interesting excursions. They will also see first-hand the culture and traditions of the country, while having great, new experiences.
Options for further studies
The programme can be taken separately or as part of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Science qualifies students to apply for admission to various Master's degree programmes. Some choose to combine this programme with other professional studies in order to increase their professional competence in the interaction with multicultural Norway.
The lectures in all courses are mandatory and require 70% attendance.
