Centre for Diaconia and Professional Practice

Centre for Diaconia and Professional Practice is responsible for the development, organization and implementation of the PhD program in Diaconia, Values and Professional Practice at VID Specialized University.

Centre for Diaconia and Professional Practice is responsible for the development, organization and implementation of the PhD program in Diaconia, Values and Professional Practice at VID Specialized University.

The Centre is located at VID Oslo but works closely with the other campuses at VID on the implementation of the PhD programme. The centre offers courses and seminars to PhD students, staff and external participants. Currently, the centre has 72 PhD students in the program.

The centre is also responsible for the development of research projects within the fields of diaconia, values and professional practice in collaboration with the faculties of VID, and provides academic meeting points and cross-disciplinary interaction within the university. Moreover, the Centre is working on developing research projects in cooperation with other academic institutions and seeking external funding for research relating to diaconia, values and professional practice.
