VID Specialized University launches a system for recognition of pedagogical competence for senior lecturers, associate professors, docents and professors as a contribution to the strengthened status of pedagogical competence and good teaching. The system highlights criteria for pedagogical competence at different levels.

Merited lecturers have a clear focus on the students' learning in all their teaching activities. They bases their scientific approach on the work of planning, implementing, assessing and modifying their teaching practices to best support student learning.

Through the reflection, the merited lecturer shows her or his anchoring in research and theory about teaching, learning and assessment in higher education in general and in her or his own field of study in particular. The reflection should clearly show how experiences from measures in the teaching have had consequences for later activities. It is expected that a credited teacher will, in various ways, share some of his / her experiences with others and that he / she can demonstrate broad experience with educational leadership.

Deadline

It is possible to apply for credit status once a year. Application deadline for applications is 15th of September.

Centre of Learning in Professional Education and Practice (SLIPP) will arrange a search course for relevant candidates and can assist with supervision (depending on the number of potential applicants). More information will follow.
