Different ways of notifying VID
Are you satisfied or dissatisfied? Use the online form on this webpage to notify VID. You can also inform the person(s) in question directly, or tell someone you trust. In the case of students, this may be the programme coordinator, the dean of the faculty, the student chaplain/deacon or the student representative.
You can also talk to your student representative or Student Council representatives.
Employees can also contact their immediate manager, union representative or safety officer.
You can find more information about reporting serious circumstances here.
Anonymous disclosure
You can notify VID anonymously by telephone or letter.
The student representative or a lawyer can also make a disclosure.
It is important to be aware that anonymous complaints against staff or fellow students will seldom lead to sanctions. In most cases, VID needs to know who you are before following up the matter.
What happens when you notify VID?
A case officer receives your notification, and this will be dealt with in line with the case processing rules and regulations. Follow-up depends on what the information you provided relates to. If you provide sensitive information about yourself or others, the matter will be dealt with confidentially. All case officers have a duty of confidentiality.
