We invite you to the VID Library in Oslo for an hour of engaging conversation on this book and celebration with the contribution of Marta Bivand Erdal (PRIO), Sturla Stålsett (MF) and Vebjørn Horsfjord (VID).
Shared humanity
Focusing on the Mediterranean, Rapisarda’s book offers a theological hermeneutics from the perspective of the margin/border and a theological hermeneutics of the border. At the core is a case study of the Italian Protestant minority and its engagement with issues of migration. Her work offers a 'horizontal' perspective on humanization based on the principle of a shared humanity and proposes a contextual theological reflection on minority identity that is at its core inclusive.
Contributors
Dean Vebjørn Horsfjord will chair the session. The external respondents are Marta Bivand Erdal, Research Professor in Migration Studies at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), and Sturla Stålsett, Professor of Diaconal Studies, Religion and Society at MF - Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society.
Refreshments will be served.
