All students are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the escape routes in the building and following the applicable instructions in the event of evacuation.

In case of fire, act QUICKLY, CORRECTLY and CALMLY.

Instructions

Preventive fire protection. You should know the location of:

  • The escape routes
  • The fire extinguisher
  • Meeting point in case of fire

In case of fire alarm:

  • Act calmly to avoid panic
  • Make sure everyone is notified
  • Close all doors and windows to limit the spread of fire and smoke
  • DO NOT use elevators
  • Help people who need assistance
  • Go to the meeting point, led by the area manager (yellow vest)
  • The meeting point is the open space between Misjonsmarka 12 and Misjonsmarka 10 (Wooden building):

FIRE!

  • Notify: Call 110
  • Rescue: Rescue all persons in danger
  • Extinguish: Try to extinguish the fire
  • Prevent: Close all windows and doors
  • Evacuate

The order of the points above must be determined based on the current situation. You must always ensure that you call for help. All students and staff are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the escape routes in the building and following the evacuation instructions.

Fire instructions for wheelchair users

In case of fire alarm:

  • Prepare an evacuation chair if available in the area
  • Start evacuating the wheelchair user
  • When evacuating a wheelchair user without using an evacuation chair, the person must be carried out under each arm, or using a fireman's lift
  • It is important to notify people nearby to get help with the evacuation of the wheelchair user
  • Leave the building through the emergency exit and evacuate to the meeting point
  • Notify the fire safety manager and/or those responsible, such as the fire department/accident site manager, that the wheelchair user has been evacuated
  • If the wheelchair user cannot be evacuated, he or she must be evacuated to the nearest safe fire cell (room). Then notify the fire department by calling the fire department on telephone number 110.
