The Board of Trustees at VID
The Board is VID's highest decision-making body and is responsible for the specialized university's strategic activities and operations.
The Board consists of eleven members. Of these, six are elected by the shareholders at the general meeting, three are elected by and from the staff, and two are elected by and from the students. Both academic and administrative staff are represented. Additionally, there is one permanent deputy member for the external members elected by the shareholders, two deputy members elected by the staff, and two deputy members elected by the students.
The Rector serves as the Board's Secretary.

The current Board's term lasts until December 31, 2026, except for the student members, who serve for one year at a time.
