Literature searches
Systematic literature searches
The library offers support to all staff and PhD candidates working with literature searches. These searches are typically conducted in preparation of research articles, systematic reviews, or research funding applications.
Both systematic and scoping reviews require thorough literature searches, as well as comprehensive documentation and reporting. This requires knowledge of relevant bibliographic databases and advanced skills in search techniques. Searching systematically is a time-consuming process, and a systematic review will usually take at least a year to complete.
It is therefore advisable that you contact the library as early as possible if you think you will require assistance. After you have submitted your request, the library will contact you for further arrangements.
Guidance in literature searching
If you need assistance with a smaller search or if you need a refresher on your search skills , you can book a time for literature searching guidance instead. The guidance can per appointment be conducted digitally or on one of our campuses.
