Global Health (GLOBHEL)
The overall goal of the GLOBHEL is to enhance the research competence among the members within VID's priority areas within global health in particular, which in turn is rooted in the UN's sustainability goals in general.
What are we researching?
GLOBHEL focuses on research aimed at improving health and achieving equity of health for all in general. Besides, GLOBHEL emphasizes on the UN's sustainability development goals (SDGs) with particular focus on the SDG 3 “Good health and wellbeing” and how the other SDG’s are related to this goal. These are GLOBHEL’s strategies to contribute to achieving equity in health for all in general:
- bring together academics and researchers who have a similar research interest in global health.
- establish international cooperation and partner through academic networking with national and international educational institutions in order to improve the quality of health education .
- contribute to capacity building of expertise competences and knowledge as well as promote mutual understanding of global health.
- increase number of publications with topics related to global health.
- contribute to dissemination of VID’s diaconal’s values by showing solidarity sharing expertise, strengthening the quality of research, and teaching methodologies with international partners institutions
- include interdisciplinary professions, exchange students at bachelor, master and PhD level, to promote different research traditions and methods.
