Health promotion and collaboration in a life course perspective (HELSELiv)

The research group focuses on research related to health promotion and collaboration in a life course perspective for people living with long-term health challenges.

What are we researching?

The research group will focus on health promotion and interaction in a lifespan perspective. People living with long-term health challenges will be prioritized in our research work. Health is understood in this context as a dynamic process that the person themselves, the environment and society have the opportunity to influence. Strengthening and further development of health competence through health-promoting environments and health services is emphasised. Strategies, interactions and interactions that can help to positively influence health throughout the life course will be of particular interest. Disease and transitions, such as aging processes, will in this context form a backdrop for knowledge development. Experiences, strategies and interventions that can strengthen people's and families' health and well-being are an important focus. Development and evaluation of health-promoting interventions and collaboration to strengthen health will be central. Health determinants such as empowerment, hope, meaning, quality of life and self-management are important concepts in this context. Innovative health-promoting services with integrated digital solutions will be relevant to integrate into the development of new knowledge. We want to build a network in and around the research group locally, nationally and internationally. Scientific staff, master's students and PhD candidates at VID who have a research interest in the topic are welcome. The goal is to build a strong research community professionally and socially where we can develop ideas, share and discuss ongoing research, develop projects and publish research on health promotion and interaction in a lifespan perspective.
