- You have a corresponding study space at another university college or university

Recognition of prior learning may be required
If you were admitted to your study program on the basis of prior learning, VID must also assess the same documentation. An assessment of prior learning only applies to the place of study where the application is assessed, and the same type of study program may have different requirements for prior learning at different educational institutions.
Transfer to the first year of study is not possible
It is not possible to apply for transfer to the 1st year of study. If you do not qualify to apply for transfer directly to the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study, you can alternatively apply for admission to the 1st year of study via Samordna opptak. If you are offered a place of study and accept, you can apply for credit transfer for courses you have taken previously that have equivalent academic content, level, and scope. If you are granted exemption for some of the courses at VID, you will have a reduced study load.
