Buddy week
Our orientation leaders, or Buddies, are ready to welcome you in the fall. They have planned a week with lots of fun activities, so you can get to know other students, VID, and the capital city!
During the buddy week, you get the chance to meet new people who are in the same boat as you. It is a perfect opportunity to expand your circle of friends, experience new activities, and become part of the student environment.
The mentors, who are experienced students, have events throughout the week, giving you the opportunity to let loose and create memories for life. At the same time, it is a safe way to explore campus and learn more about student life. Our mentors are well acquainted with what it is like to be a student at VID, so they have both tips and tricks for how to handle student life.
Sober-chief
Each day, one person from each orientation group and one person from the buddy week board will be sober. The sober mentors will wear reflective vests at all events.
The sober mentors' task is to take good care of you and your fellow students, and ensure that you have a safe and fun week.
