Accommodation
If you require educational accommodations, please contact the administration at your faculty directly.
As a general rule, practical training should not be facilitated, but students with disabilities or other special needs may apply for facilitation in practical training, cf. the University and College Act § 10-5 (only in Norwegian).
The facilitation must not constitute a disproportionate burden for the institution, or lead to a reduction of the academic requirements set in the subject.
In order to have a practical subject assessed as passed, the requirement for attendance in practice must be met.
It is not possible to obtain exemption from or reduction of hours in practice.
It is not possible to apply for exemption from the working hours scheme at the practice site.
The study is considered the student's main occupation. Work, research or financial conditions do not provide a basis for facilitation in practice.
Do you have a health problem or a disability that creates challenges during the exam? Then you can apply for exam accommodations such as extended exam time or the use of a dictionary. You can read more about exam accommodations once you have become a student with us on My Page.
If you have challenges that give you reduced reading ability, you can borrow audiobooks, e-books, and Braille books from Tibi – the library for adapted literature.
The offer is free, and you can apply to become a borrower here: Sign up - Tibi (only in Norwegian)
If you need to take a break from your studies, you can apply for a leave of absence or extended study period. You can find more information about this on My Page (login required).
