What are personal data?
Personal data is defined as any information that can be linked to a person either directly or indirectly (by combining different information). For example, personal data can be:
- National identify number
- Name
- email address/IP address
- audio recording of voice
If you are collecting personal data for your master's thesis, there are a number of requirements, including assessment of your project, ensuring data are collected and stored securely, and safeguarding participants.
