Improving grades

You must register to improve your grade at least 4 weeks before the exam. It is possible to do this up to one year after you have finished your studies. Only grades from ordinary exams can be improved.

Register to improve your grade

  • Log in to Studentweb and select ‘Active courses’.
  • Search for the course for which you want to improve your grade and select ‘Register for grade improvement’. You will find the course codes in your education plan.
  • If the assessment for a course is divided into several components (e.g. required coursework) you must withdraw from the parts that you will not be participating in via Studentweb.

Deferred diploma

  • You can request a deferred diploma if you want to improve one or more of your grades after completing your studies. Diplomas are only issued once.
  • If you have already received your diploma, you will only receive a transcript if you have improved your grades.
  • If you improve a grade after obtaining a degree, this will be noted on the diploma.

Important information for students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing:

Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing must have their diploma available in the diploma registry (Vitnemålsportalen) in order to apply for authorization. If you request a deferred diploma, you cannot apply for authorization until any grade improvement decision has been made and the diploma has been issued.
