Ingri Hanne Brænne Bennwik

Ingri-Hanne Brænne Bennwik is associate professor at VID Specialized University in Oslo. She holds a PhD from VID, and a master's degree in Social Work from NTNU in Trondheim. Her main field of research is social work with a focus on care leaving, disability and professional practice. She has also published work on ethics in social work. She has worked as a social worker within the fields of mental health services and municipal social services. She is a member of INTRAC (International Research Network on Transitions to Adulthood from Care) and in the international network CoRiT (Community of Researchers in Transition). Ingri-Hanne Brænne Bennwik has broad experience from both national and international work related to the development of social work education and research. She held the position as vice president in the Norwegian Union of Social Workers and Social Educators (Fellesorganisasjonen) from 2002-2006. She has been an executive member of IFSW-Europe from 2006-2008 and she has been a member of the INTRAC exco from 2021-2023. She previously held a position as lecturer at Ersta Sköndal Bräcke University College in Sweden (now Marie Cederskiöld Högskola).
