VID's CODE Research group at the international CODE Forum conference in Finland

The CODE Research group at VID had two intensive days of co-working at the CODE Forum in Helsinki on the 27th and 28th of September on "Community Development in times of crisis".

Eleven members of CODE, including three of VID's international professors and four PhD students, presented papers and projects. In addition, CODE's new publication, Developing Just and Inclusive Communities was launched. CODE FORUM is an open platform for people interested in exchange and research on diaconal community development. The conference also included a workshop on possibilities for a joint application for research grants.

The CODE suitcase

At the end of the conference, they packed the "CODE suitcase", as a way to reflect on some of the themes they had discussed during the two days. Many of the reflections will be taken forward.
